A nice Tribute

Had a bottle of this the other night. A really nice bottled ale, not fizzy and spoilt because it is a bottled beer, just a really good solid ale.

K&B Sussex

I know that K&B don't really exist any more and the beer is brewed in Dorset or somewhere, but it is still a nice pint. I had a couple of these last night in the Nutley Hall in Reigate, which is a really nice little pub.

The K&B Sussex was brilliant. Really well kept and eminently drinkable. The first one went down so well I had to another immediately!

Ringwood Best

I had a pint of this at the Porter and Sorter near East Croydon Station. What a great beer. Ringwood Best is the kind of pint I could drink all day long. Well, maybe not all day long, but you probably know what I mean.

Excellent pint. Not a bad pub either.

Dodgy Bombardier

Had a very nasty pint of Bombardier in a local pub the other night. I shan't say which, but I won't be going there again. It tasted ok, but halfway through I noticed that the pint hadn't cleared at all and was still very cloudy.

I didn't drink any more but I wasn't too well the next day.

Harveys Best

Had a fantastic pint of Harveys Best last night. I would have had more but I was driving so it was just the one for me. Shame really, I could happily have sunk several more of those.

Harveys Best is an excellent pint alongside their Hadlow which also does very nicely and is especially good as a session beer.

Late Red

Great in a bottle and great from the pump too.

Hampshire Rose

Can't remember too much about this ale. Very good stuff though and got through a few pints of it. Nice session beer and highly recommended.

Barn Stormer

A very nice bottled beer being enjoyed this evening. Never tried it before, or at least can't remember it. Got a really rich flavour, but not overpowering at all.

Laverstock

Had this in a restaurant last night. Not bad all in all. I'm not sure I've had an organic beer in a long time.

Bombardier

Nice bottle of Bombardier last night. Always a good ale and in a bottle it didn't disappoint at all.

Broadside

A great bottle of Broadside this evening. A very pleasant ale. Whilst I often find bottled beers to be a much harsher flavour than the pump this one had a lot of character to it and a real sense of the full flavour of Broadside.

Glad I choose it.

Martson's Pedigree

Had a bottle of this last night, but wasn't impressed at all. It made me remember that Pedigree just doesn't travel well. I remember having a few pints of it in Marston with a guy from the brewery many years ago. It was fantastic, but the bottle, well, it was a very poor relation

Hobgoblin

Nice bottle of Hobgoblin with dinner last night. Never really liked it before, but went well with the curry.

T.E.A.

Traditional English Ale (T.E.A.) is fantastic. What a truly great beer. I love it.

Just sat down with a bottle of it now with my dinner. Wonderful.

The Dog and Bull

Last week I went into the Dog and Bull in Surrey street. What a great pub, and what great beer. Youngs Special and a bottle of Ramrod. Excellent stuff.

Just a shame that they have to close every night.

Pedigree

I was in Horley the other day and went to the Weatherspoons there for a pint. I decided to try the Marston's Pedigree. What a mistake. It was awful.

When will Weatherspoons learn to keep beer properly?
