Pride and Pride

I used to go to a pub some years ago where every time I walked in there would be a pride and pride on the way to being poured even before I got to the bar.

Great service, except on days when all I wanted was an orange juice, but I never turned it down.

Pride and pride was an accepted pint back then, but now I find myself explaining to bar staff what it is I mean and I still get slightly bemused looks.

Marston's Pedigree

I was in London the other day and went through several pints of Pedigree in the city. Years ago I always thought that Pedigree didn't travel too well at all, but this time around it was a really good pint. I was very impressed.

I once had the good luck to sample pedigree from the brewery itself and it was excellent stuff. When you have a pint like that it is difficult to come back to a lesser version in more average surroundings.

However, the few pints of Pedigree I had in town the other day were really very good indeed.

Palmers Best

A great pint, two in fact of these the other night. Really good stuff!

Doom Bar

Really good pint of Doom Bar the other day in town. A good solid pint. I think the last time I tried Doom Bar I didn't like it, but this time it went down a treat. There you go!

London Pride

Had a very good bottle of London Pride the other night. Really enjoyed it with a curry. A very nice bottle of beer.

Lancaster Bomber

This was a good bottle of ale from last night. Not wonderful, not the best I've had, but good and entirely fit for purpose. The purpose being to have it with dinner (Spaghetti Bolognese).
